He told stories. Using indirect communication, subtle trance work, metaphor, and his many other methods, he related his cases in ways that modeled his unique form of unconscious communication. In spite of the fact he was approaching 80 years old, and suffering a relapse of the polio that had paralyzed him as a youth, his warmth and powerful wisdom shine through.
