About These Recordings
Milton H. Erickson MD is widely recognized as one of the 20th Century’s most influential figures in psychotherapy and hypnosis, and one of its most remarkable healers.
Toward the end of his life, confined to a wheelchair and suffering a relapse of polio, he gave a series of long (2 week) seminars to doctors, therapists and scholars at his home in Phoenix. By the time Erickson died, the waiting list to attend one of these seminars was over a year long.
One of these seminars was captured on video by New York therapist, Jane Parsons-Fein in the Fall of 1979. Erickson died just months later.
Parsons-Fein published the full, minimally edited edition of those recordings on DVD (over 35 hours of video) as "In The Room With Milton H. Erickson MD". It is still available to mental health professionals.Â
